Stop them making a killing with dogs' lives

end of the road

The end of the road can come in many ways for the dogs at Harlan UK. They may be killed because they are too old, imperfect or simply ‘surplus stock'. Those that survive are trucked to a laboratory to be experimented upon.
Take Action

The transportation of dogs to customers is often of a poor standard. The dogs may be crated up in the back of a van so that it is impossible for the driver to monitor their wellbeing. Our investigator witnessed that no spare transit crates were taken, so if a fight broke out the driver could not separate the dogs. Sometimes she saw that dogs were not provided with water.

QUINTILES, Edinburgh
A contract testing company with sites across the world. Patch was sold to Quintiles along with 49 others in March 99.

18 of the young pups were put on a truck for Quintiles

For delivery to one particular customer, the driver often has to rest overnight but the dogs are left in their travelling crates until they can be delivered at 8am the next morning. On occasions, the vet and chief technician gave the 'all-clear' for dogs to be delivered when they were clearly not in a healthy condition. For example, dogs have been 'cleared' even though one had a one-inch cut on his paw, another was lame and a third was bleeding from his penis.
