BUAV presents Caroline Lucas MP with Lord Houghton Award for services to animal welfare

Caroline Lucas has a long record of working on animal protection issues. As a Member of the European Parliament she ensured animal welfare was high on the agenda. In particular, she worked to make improvements to the revision of the European legislation governing animal experimentation. The BUAV has recognised her great contribution to animal welfare with the Lord Houghton award.
