The BUAV, UK member of the European Coalition to End Animal Experiments (ECEAE), a coalition of key animal protection groups across the EU, has today declared the adoption of the new Directive 86/609/EEC a missed opportunity to introduce measures that would have given greater protection to animals used in experiments.
