BUAV presents at the Labour Animal Welfare Society meeting

BUAV Director of Policy, Dr Nick Palmer, spoke at the Labour Animal Welfare Society (LAWS) fringe meeting at the Labour Party Conference in Manchester on Monday evening. Nick spoke about the achievements of the BUAV in recent times, including the successful campaign to maintain the ban on using stray animals in experiments.

The audience of Labour Party members was delighted to hear about the success, but expressed concern that the number of animals used in experiments has reached a 25-year high and joined the BUAV in calling on the Government to bring the numbers down.
