The Little Book of Cruelty Free lists over 100 companies in the UK which have all been awarded the Leaping Bunny logo and guarantee their products are free from animal testing.

Internationally, there are over 400 companies certified cruelty free. A broad range of personal care, cosmetic and household products carry the Leaping Bunny mark, including products such as skin, hair, foot and dental care, fragrances, make-up, nail care, baby care and aromatherapy products, as well as a wide range of household cleaners from dishwasher detergents to disinfectants.

There is now a wider choice of products than ever before. New additions in the UK to the Little Book of Cruelty Free include mineral make-up brand BellaPierre and Tropic Skincare, founded by The Apprentice star Susan Ma in partnership with Sir Alan Sugar.

Cruelty Free International, the new organisation founded by the BUAV, is dedicated to ending animal testing for consumer products and ingredients worldwide. It is the first global campaign of this nature, and will call on governments and regulators around the world to implement a ban on animal testing for cosmetics and household products.

Cruelty Free International is now operating the globally recognised and respected certification programme and issuing Leaping Bunny license agreements to companies certified under the Humane Standards.

These rigorous standards stipulate that no animal testing is conducted or commissioned for finished cosmetic/ household products or ingredients by the company, its laboratories or its suppliers after a fixed cut-off date.

Michelle Thew, Chief Executive of Cruelty Free International said: "We are delighted to welcome our newly approved companies who have rejected animal testing. No animal should have to suffer in cruel and out-dated tests for beauty and cleaning products. Please join our global campaign to end cosmetics testing on animals around the world and guarantee your products are cruelty-free by buying only those bearing the Leaping Bunny logo."
