The BUAV is delighted that Martin Horwood, MP for Cheltenham is the winner of the Animal Welfare Award at the Charity Champions Award ceremony which was held this week. The Awards recognise the parliamentarians who’ve made the biggest contributions in a number of different areas and this year, the Animal Welfare award was sponsored by BUAV.

Michelle Thew, BUAV Chief Executive, who presented the award said “It’s great that the work of parliamentarians such as Martin to promote animal issues can be highlighted at events like this. They play a vital role for organizations like the BUAV in making sure issues like animal experimentation are discussed at the highest level.”
